Upper Sixth pupils at Exeter School took part in the school's annual Interview Scheme enabling them to develop invaluable skills for the future.

Over 100 pupils were offered two professional interviews each by friends and alumni of Exeter School.

The Interview Scheme was generously hosted by Ashfords LLP on Friday and Saturday with 44 professionals giving of their time.

Careers Adviser Ruth Cheesman said this large event would not be possible without the support of the alumni, parents and friends of Exeter School.

"Although this can be a daunting process, it is an invaluable step towards developing important interview skills which pupils will be able to use in the future," she said.

"Not only were pupils asked competency-based questions, such as 'what is your biggest achievement', some were also asked questions by a subject specialist about their career ideas and plans post Exeter School.

"Feedback was also given on first impressions and body language too.  For most, it was their first interview and what a good way to practise.

"We wanted to thank both Ashfords for hosting this event and our interviewers for their participation in this successful event."
