Praise for Exeter City FC volunteers
The Exeter City first team players and staff were given the chance to thank club volunteers for their help at a party after Saturday’s 0-0 draw Grimsby Town.
The event, which was organised by the club and the Supporters’ Trust, took place in the Paramount Personnel Lounge with more than 60 people in attendance.
Supporters’ Trust chairman Laurence Overend paid tribute to the volunteering ethos at Exeter City and manager Paul Tisdale also praised their work in his post-match comments.
“That is what this club is about,” saidTis.
“It goes from strength to strength. I likened it to an iceberg this week. What is above the waterline is the League table and the last three or four results, but there is a heck of a lot of work going on underneath the waterline and it is getting stronger and stronger. So, we will be other there to thank them.”
