TTPL joins forces with Globe English Centre
An Exeter language school has teamed up with a Torbay-based work placement company to forge a new partnership set to bring business benefits to both.
The Globe English Centre, based at St David’s Hill in Exeter, provides English classes to people who want to learn it as their second language. The Training Partnership (TTPL) works with hundreds of Devon firms to provide placements in different sectors for trainees from across Europe and beyond.
The new partnership will see TTPL offer Globe’s teaching programmes to complement its own teaching packages and work placements, with Globe specifically providing English language classes to TTPL trainees on work placements and living in Exeter.
Wendy Williams, of TTPL, said: “This is an exciting new venture for The Training Partnership. More Exeter companies than ever are working with us to provide quality work placements that benefit their business and the trainees. By expanding what we can offer when it comes to high quality language provision particularly suited for the business environment, we hope to be able to attract more quality trainees to the area.”
The Globe English Centre offers year-round English courses for children and adults including vacation courses, exam preparation, business English and training for teachers of English.
Roughly 80 per cent of its clients come from Europe, with others coming from as far as South America, Thailand and Russia. In the last six months alone, they have welcomed people from 34 different nationalities.
