An Exeter man is set to experience a taste of stardom by appearing in a new nationwide TV advert for Britain’s biggest bingo site, Tombola.

Neil Coles, 32, was shortlisted from hundreds of players from around the country to make it through to the 2015 advert. Neil makes his TV debut from Monday 24th August, when the new advert airs across the UK.

The advert focuses on a group of genuine players and chat moderators enjoying bingo on their smartphones, in a fun and friendly environment.

Neil has been an avid member of Tombola for almost three years, and says he is over the moon to be starring in the new advert: "The audition and filming days were packed full of fun, suspense and excitement. It was really exciting not knowing what the day ahead involved- there were so many surprises in tow and I had an amazing time!

“My friends and family can't believe it that I'm actually going to be on the TV in front of thousands of people. It doesn’t feel real yet.”

Dawn-Elizabeth Howe, Head of Marketing, said: “We are really proud of our latest advert – it not only showcases tombola’s unique games but thanks to the players, the ads have real energy which we believe genuinely reflects the sense of community on tombola.”

Hopeful tombola players entered online to take part in the TV ads.

Neil attended the audition and was one of 25 successful chosen players.
