Exeter law firm offers dementia support sessions
AN EXETER law firm is running a series of events throughout July to talk about dementia care and raise awareness for those living with dementia.
Karyna Squibb from Cartridges Law in Exeter is a Dementia Friends Champion, having undertaken training to gain a deeper understanding of dementia and how it impacts those living with dementia.
Karyna said: ‘We are really pleased to be in a position to offer these sessions to local people, and hopefully help those living with the condition and others to get a better understanding of it. Being able to chat about it over a cup of tea in a friendly environment is a great way to approach the subject.’
The sessions are designed for people living with dementia, their carers, families and friends. There will be plenty of free tea and coffee on offer and the opportunity to ask questions.
Dates and venues for the Dementia Friends sessions are as follows:
Cranbrook, Younghayes Centre - 6th July, 2:30 – 4:30pm
Heavitree, Saint Lawrence Church - 13th July, 2:30 - 4:30pm
