Exeter Chiefs duo Jack Nowell and Olly Woodburn are to switch on the city’s festive lights tonight.

England & British Lions star Nowell, together with fellow winger Woodburn, will be the star attractions at the event, which is set to draw thousands of residents and visitors to the heart of the city for a huge family friendly celebration brimming with entertainment and live music.

Hosts Ashley Jeary and Ben Clark of Radio Exe will introduce exciting acts from 4pm with the official switch on taking place from 6.20pm. More entertainment is planned until 7pm when the evening will draw to a close and visitors can make the most of the city’s first late night shopping Thursday and the Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market, supported by InExeter.

As well as live performances from Jonah & The Superband, a Festive House Band and Exeter Cathedral Choristers, there will be a special spot for the winner of InExeter and Radio Exe’s Star InExeter competition, who will be announced shortly.

Before the official lights switch-on, Nowell and Woodburn will be helping to launch the new Christmas Mobile Trading Post Shop, which will be located between WH Smith and The Terrace in Exeter's Guildhall Shopping Centre.

The duo will be around to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for selfies with Chiefs fans.

The Mobile Shop will be in place at the Guildhall from 5pm today right through until Saturday, December 23 stocking all your Chiefs goodies in the build-up to Christmas. The Shop will be open Monday to Saturday from 9:30am to 5:30pm, Sunday from 10.30am to 4.30pm and also until 9pm on all Late Night Shopping Nights.
