Burrington Estates New Homes, an award-winning local property developer, has announced the purchase of land for development off Church Hill in Pinhoe, Exeter.

The 19 acre site with panoramic views over the city, the Exe Estuary and picturesque East Devon countryside, has outline planning permission for 120 dwellings: a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom homes. The development is made up of two parcels of land and will include a large, managed open space with pond areas, providing the ideal location for community events and interaction, on site ecological and surface water improvements as well as an area to develop new wildlife habitats. Redevelopment of the land will include the careful consideration of the listed farmhouse, Home Farm.

The development will provide financial community benefit through Community Infrastructure Levy and S106 contributions, as well as affordable housing and highways improvements in the vicinity.

All of the homes on the development can be tailored to the specific needs of families and couples, with spacious entranceways, adaptable interiors and high quality finishes. Premium fixtures are fitted as standard in all Burrington Estates homes, including luxury fitted carpets, ceramic tiled bathrooms and British-designed kitchens.

Pinhoe, on the northern fringes of Exeter, is becoming an increasingly popular place to live, within easy commuting distance of the city centre and surrounding business areas. There is a great range of local amenities close by, including a primary school, surgery and local shops - larger supermarkets are accessible by car. Pinhoe train station is around a 5 minute walk, with direct lines into the city and London. The M5 and main roads to the rest of the county are in easy reach, and Exeter International Airport is a short drive away.

Colin Palmer, Managing Director of Burrington Estates New Homes, says: “We are thrilled with the acquisition of this new site in Pinhoe, which adds to our expanding portfolio in the South West.”

Colin adds: “Burrington Estates New Homes has a reputation for developing high quality homes. Following the success of our first new homes development at Seaward Park, Clyst St George, and the incredible interest received for our upcoming homes at EXIII, Topsham, we are pleased that we can respond to this growing need for new homes for couples and young families in Exeter.”

David Matthews, Development Director, says: “Work will now commence with stakeholders and Exeter City Council on the detailed designs with planning submission due in the summer of 2018. It is our intention to produce another high-quality development which will appeal to both existing and proposed residents.”
