Pitch to Rich: Exeter mum needs your vote!
Ever wished for a non-screen alternative for your kids that was equally handy but that tapped into the greatest entertainment resource of all: imagination?
Well, Exeter-based mum of three, Kate de Bass, felt the same way and has set about creating a solution.
The result is Pipity: a fledgling range of ‘Portable, Packable Play-pals’ for kids aged 6-plus to inspire and encourage imaginative and creative play, at-home or on-the-go.
All the products – dinky little A5 activity cases, portfolios and activity books – have been dreamed up and designed by Kate.
Ahead of the launch of her shiny new website early next month, Kate’s just entered Pipity in Virgin’s annual 'Pitch to Rich' competition and needs our votes!

“I’m very excited to be giving Pipity its first public outing in ‘Pitch to Rich’ and would be hugely grateful if the lovely people of Exeter would like to vote for me!” Kate said.
The ideas behind Pipity sprang from a desire to find things for her own children that would spark their imaginations, keep them creatively busy and be easy to take out-and-about… and at the same time neatly sidestep the perennial ‘screen time negotiation’ and satisfy the cries of “I’m bored!”.
It only takes a minute to vote, but be sure to verify your email address, otherwise your vote won’t count! #pipity.
