RGB Building Supplies raised a fantastic £1,492.68 for Devon and Cornwall’s air ambulance trusts on Friday 13th September during a company-wide Great Cream Tea Day.

The event took place during National Air Ambulance Week, which aims to highlight the life-saving work done by all trusts across the country. In return for a donation, visitors to RGB’s Exeter branch were able to enjoy a delicious scone, cream and jam.

Tracy Owen, Fundraising Manager at Devon Air Ambulance Trust, commented:

“RGB has raised a significant amount with their cream teas and we’re incredibly grateful to them. Devon’s Air Ambulances are very much an essential part of the community we live in and the service would not be possible without the generous support and donations we receive from local businesses. We look forward to continue to build our relationship with RGB and supporting them with their fundraising.”

Paul West, Branch Manager at RGB Exeter, added:

“The region is renowned for its cream teas and the amount of money raised really shows how popular they are. It was interesting to see whether we could put an end to the age old debate of whether it’s cream or jam first and, at our branch, we had a mix! We’d like to thank everyone who visited and made a donation.”

Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust are RGB’s chosen charities and it will be holding further fundraising events to boost the amount raised.
