THE Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of two new board members.

Tony Neal has joined as a non-executive director and Jonathan Broad as an associate non-executive director.

Tony has a background in IT and business consultancy, with a particular focus on organisational visioning, development and change, and has extensive board-level experience with BT and Fujitsu.

Tony said: “I’m delighted to join the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust as a non-executive director.

“The NHS continues to manage huge change and challenge in providing care to patients and carers and in supporting clinicians and staff, who do a fantastic job.

“The Trust has a long history of success, serving the diverse needs of residents and visitors across a large part of our county.

“I look forward to joining the team.”

Jonathan is chairman of Ashleigh Church of England Primary School in Barnstaple and a lay member of the Northern, Eastern and Western Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) clinical policy committee.

Jonathan has previously held positions with Devon and Cornwall Housing Trust and Devon and Cornwall Housing Association and was chairman of the North Devon Primary Care Trust patient and public involvement forum.

Jonathan, who lives in Fremington, said: “As a patient with cystic fibrosis, having received the best care through the Trust, I now look forward to using all my experience and giving back to the community through the health service.”

Roger French, Trust chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome Tony and Jonathan to serve on the Trust board and I believe their respective skillsets will complement the team, particularly given the immense changes the NHS will undergo in Devon over the next few years.”
