A divorce lawyer from the South West has been featured on an independent list of some of the best advisors in private wealth management in the world, for the 8th consecutive year.

Liz Allen, head of the family law team at Exeter-based Stephens Scown LLP, has been selected to appear in the Honours section of the 2016 edition of the ‘Citywealth Leaders List’ which has just been published.  Liz also features in the ‘Power Women’ list.

She is the only family lawyer in Devon and Cornwall to have been named in the Honours section of the eleventh edition of the annual directory.

The Citywealth Leaders List is compiled through the recommendation of industry peers, clients and other organisations and will be printed and distributed to advisors in private wealth management around the world later this summer.

Liz has over 20 years’ experience in all areas of family law, specialising in divorces for high-net worth individuals. She said: “I am thrilled to be included in Citywealth’s Leaders list for the eighth year.  It is a great honour and is made all the more pleasing by the fact that it’s based on recommendations from my peers. I am lucky to have a fantastic family law team around me at Stephens Scown who play a huge role in our delivery to clients.”

Marcela Kunova of Citywealth, added: “Liz’s reputation with clients has been built over many years, which is why we are delighted to recommend her in the Citywealth Leader’s List. She has become an important and successful brand in family law and her clients have told us ‘she is simply one of the very best in the South West.’”

Robert Camp, managing partner of Stephens Scown, said: “I am delighted for Liz, who thoroughly deserves this accolade.  She exemplifies the ethos at our firm, where we place client service at the heart of everything we do.

“Liz is one of the very few lawyers from outside London on the Citywealth list, and the only family lawyer from Devon and Cornwall.  This just underlines her achievement, and also demonstrates how Liz and our family law team are able to compete on a national level, with clients from right across the country.”

Stephens Scown has over 290 staff, including more than 50 partners, across its offices in Exeter, Truro and St Austell. For more information visit www.stephens-scown.co.uk
