Five Exeter building projects shortlisted in Michelmores Property Awards 2017

Five Exeter building projects have been shortlisted in the 2017 Michelmores Property Awards which celebrate outstanding property and construction projects in Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Dorset and Cornwall, across ten categories.

The Met Office's High Performance Computer Complex was shortlisted in the category of Public Project of the Year and Building of the Year, whilst the Exeter Cricket Ground Development was shortlisted for Commercial Project of the Year.

Meanwhile, the Cranbrook & Skypark District Heating Scheme, was shortlisted under Sustainable Project of the Year, and the Living Systems Institute at the University of Exeter, was shortlisted under Education Project of the Year and Building of the Year.

Cedar Court, a residential development in Rockbeare near Exeter was shortlisted in the category of Residential Project of the Year 41 Units and Over.

In addition, two Exeter-based property and construction professionals, Ralph Collison of Alder King and Andrew Pearce of JLL, were shortlisted for the John Laurence Special Contribution Award, which aims to shine a light on outstanding professionals in the sector.

This year's Awards saw the introduction of five new award categories – Commercial Project of the Year, Public Project of the Year, Education Project of the Year, Leisure & Hospitality Project of the Year, and The John Laurence Special Contribution Award.

Competition across all categories was high again this year, and the quality of the entries was remarkable. Now in their fifteenth year, the annual awards showcase and celebrate the best of the South West's property and construction industry. The winners will be announced at an Awards Dinner on Thursday 15 June at the University of Exeter, presented by comedian and actor Marcus Brigstocke.
