
Exeter travel firm recognised for green credentials
Exeter based tour operator, The School Travel Consultancy, has received the internationally recognised ‘Travelife Sustainability in Tourism award’ for its commitment to responsible tourism.
The STC is the first company in the niche schools travel market to become a Travelife Partner in recognition of its work in the field of sustainability, responsible tourism good practice and corporate social responsibility.
The certification was presented to STC employees Jennifer Harris and Daniel Burke Thomson at the annual World Travel Market (WTM) at Excel in London on Wednesday 9th November.
On achieving Travelife Partner Status, Adrian Ferraro, Director of the STC, comments: “Sustainability is really important to us and is what we are driven by when we research and plan our trips for schools. It’s great to be recognised as the only tour operator in the niche school travel sector that is showing a clear commitment to responsible tourism.”
