Builders merchant only Devon firm to make it on Hot 100 list

RGB Building Supplies has been named on Real Business magazine’s Hot 100 list which reveals the fastest growing private businesses in the UK.

Based on turnover and profit growth over a four-year period, to make the list a company had to achieve sales of more than £10m and post an EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) of more than £1m. With a turnover of £54.3m and EBITDA of £2.1m, RGB is the only Devon based company to make it on the Hot 100 list.

The builders merchant completed a family and management buyout deal at the end of 2015 to secure stability and enable future growth.  This year it has gone on to open two new branches in Torquay and Wellington and relocate its Okehampton branch to larger premises.

“The buyout meant we started a new chapter at the beginning of 2016 and being included in Real Business’ Hot 100 list has brought to a close a very successful year for us.”
