Exeter's award-winning construction consultancy, Bailey Partnership, has celebrated its 50th anniversary by expanding onto the South Coast of England and picking up four top titles in the Constructing Excellence Awards South West – including Winner of Winners.

Founded in 1971, Bailey Partnership has a 110 strong team of professionals and is active across the South of England with six offices from St Austell in Cornwall to London, including a brand-new office in Chichester.

The ‘Building Top 100’ construction consultancy and former ‘Building Magazine Construction Consultant of the Year’ has seen 20% growth in staff numbers in the last twelve month period.  The practice offers architecture, building surveying, project management, quantity surveying, interior design, building services engineering, structural/civil engineering and town planning services and recently introduced facade and fire engineering specialisms to support the EWS1/cladding remediation team working across the UK.

In Exeter, the practice is behind a number of notable local projects, including the delivery of over 200 residential units at St Margaret’s Residence, Ringwell Road, former Foxhayes and Exwick Schools and Pinhoe developments.  Key clients include University of Exeter, Exeter City Council, Exeter School,  LiveWest, South West Water and the National Trust.

In the Constructing Excellence Awards South West, Bailey Partnership’s work on behalf of Plymouth Community Homes to deliver essential internal and external fire safety refurbishment works to Mount Wise Towers - three high-rise towers home to 270 households - caught the eye and respect of the award judges. As well as the coveted Winner of Winners Award, the £12 million project also picked up awards for Value and Health & Safety, as well as highly commended for Building Project of the Year.

A fourth win for Conservation & Regeneration was in recognition of the work undertaken by Bailey Partnership to renovate the historic Saltash Train Station building and enhance the ‘Gateway to Cornwall’.

Coinciding with the expansion and quadruple win, Bailey Partnership threw one of the first in-person business parties of the year to mark its half century milestone and successes. Clients, local business people, and contractors joined Bailey Partnership to celebrate the occasion.

Partner, Simon Zawada, says: "Looking back over the last fifty years there have been so many incredible moments; ground-breaking projects that have played a significant role in the region's vibrancy and regeneration. Our achievements in the Constructing Excellence Awards South West bring this together at a milestone time - we are truly honoured and proud to receive such acclaimed recognition.

"At Bailey Partnership we have a fantastic team of talented individuals – our anniversary and expansion is an opportunity to celebrate their achievements, thank our clients and come together to look to the future. Here's to the next 50 years!"
