The Victoria Inn welcomes local MP following transformative Investment
The Victoria Inn, Exeter, recently welcomed local MP Ben Bradshaw for a comprehensive tour of their new-look pub, following a substantial six-figure investment from award winning Craft Union Pub Company.
Operators Mark and Victoria Major alongside the rest of the pub team warmly welcomed Ben to talk him through the renovations and history of the pub.
The team gave MP Ben an extensive tour of The Victoria Inn and showed him how the investment, giving the space a fresh, new look, has uplifted the pub. The transformation included new HD TV screens, where guests can now catch all the latest sporting action – perfect for avid football fans as The Victoria Inn is just a stone’s throw from the Exeter City ground. The pub also now boasts an updated drinks menu including a range of lager, IPA, ciders, spirits and wine meaning there’s something for everyone.
Local MP Ben also had a chance to get behind the bar and enjoy a couple of refreshing drinks, whilst learning all about the incredible community work that The Victoria Inn does. The pub is proud to host a charity clothes collection in partnership with Exeter University for locals in the area who don’t have warm clothes for Winter. This is one of their most successful campaigns, and operators Mark and Victoria plan to continue with the good work.
The incredible charity work doesn’t just stop there, with the pub also continuously fundraising through hosting charity quizzes and raffles for Dream-A-Way, a Charity which provides wishes to terminally ill children and adults.
Operator Mark said: “It was a pleasure to show Ben around the pub and discuss how the investment has revitalised The Victoria Inn. He took a keen interest in all we do for the community along with the long history of The Victoria. We look forward to welcoming him back soon.”
