Electrical wholesaler is finalist in national awards
South West electrical wholesaler Devondale Electrical has been shortlisted in the 2020 Electrical Wholesaler of the Year Awards in not just one but two categories - Best Wholesaler 6-25 Branches and Best Individual Branch for the company’s Bideford Branch.
Devondale has been in business for almost 40 years and has grown to have nine branches across the region, supplying a huge range of electrical products to contractors large and small with a personal service backed by experience and expertise.
Managing Director, Paul Wood said: “Everyone at Devondale is delighted that the company has been named as a finalist - it’s an accolade to the high level of commitment we have towards our customers.
“A huge congratulations too, to our Bideford team who truly deserve their shortlisting – they put so much energy into the branch and supporting the community.”
The Bideford branch is one of the newer Devondale locations having opened in 2016. In just a few years it has become a real success story, building an impressive customer base, encouraging apprentices into full time roles and supporting the local community through initiatives such as sponsorship of a new fleet of Giant ATX 2 Disc mountain bikes for Pilton Community College, and charity fundraising including Mission Unbreakable for the North Devon Hospice.
North Devon Regional Manager, Sam Stephens said: “We feel very honoured that our relatively new branch in Bideford has made this far and now up we’re against the big boys from the City!”
Entries go through a voting system where customers and suppliers choose their favourites before these go before a panel of industry experts for the final decision on who will be crowned the champions at the awards event.
