AN EXETER consultancy took a top prize at the South West Energy Efficiency Awards.

City Science, of Southernhay West, won the Energy Consultant or Consultancy of the Year award.

Bronze award for building site manager

Site manager Nathan Pyett from independent developer, C G Fry & Son has won a Considerate Constructors Scheme 2014 National Site Bronze Award.

Nathan received his award in London and was joined by his partner Julia Simmonds and Kevin Murch, Construction Director of C G Fry and his wife Teresa. Devon’s search for best bus driver

Bus passengers in Devon are among the happiest in the country according to a new survey which ranks Devon high for overall satisfaction.

Of the 800 plus Devon people who took part in the national survey by Passenger Focus, a record 90 per cent recorded their satisfaction overall, which includes 95 per cent of passengers with a disability.

Value for money, punctuality, bus and bus stop cleanliness all score well, with satisfaction levels higher in most cases to last year’s figures.

Exeter Rugby Club chairman and chief executive Tony Rowe OBE was among the major award winners at the Express & Echo's Business of the Year Awards held at Sandy Park last Friday.

Students from the University of Exeter are celebrating after winning a national competition with their innovative system which could reduce the headache of searching for a parking space, and help reduce vehicle emissions.

Award materializes for young monster artist

Pandora Munoz has won first prize in a design a Doctor Who monster competition run by St Thomas Library.

The library, situated in Church road, Exeter, hosted an award event presenting Pandora with an upgraded version of the design she created.

The monster was redrawn and coloured by Simon Brett a local artist who works for the longest running scifi magazine in the world, Starburst. He presented Pandora with a framed original of her creature: ‘The Soul Stealer’.
