Glorious grannies and great grandpas are set to be celebrated when Devon’s Grandparent of the Year is named at the Pride of Devon awards next month.

Leading local law firm Stephens Scown LLP has joined forces with Radio Exe, to sponsor the Grandparent of the Year category of the Guildhall Shopping Exeter Pride of Devon Awards.

No matter what makes your grandparent great – whether they have been raising money for charity, taking up a surprising new hobby, or simply being a great friend and support to you – they deserve recognition.

Nominations are now being sought from across Devon and will be judged by Ollie Allen from Devon County Show, Andrew McNeily from Guildhall Shopping Centre, Karime Hassan from Exeter City Council and Paul Nero, Chief Executive of Radio Exe.

Robert Camp, Stephens Scown’s managing partner said:

“We are delighted to support this award. Grandparents play such an important role in the lives of their families. It is great to see them celebrated in this way.”

Nominations can be made on Radio Exe’s website – www.radioexe.co.uk/pride-of-devon.

The deadline for nominations is next Friday, 28 April. The winning grandparent will be invited to the glittering award ceremony and dinner at Westpoint, Exeter on the Friday evening of the Devon County Show, 23 May. They will receive a special cut-glass trophy.
