Exeter-based, British footwear brand Chatham was crowned Outdoor Brand of the Year at the Footwear Industry Awards 2014 for its outdoor and country range – outperforming other popular names including as Clarks, Hi-Tech and Superfit.

The prestigious national Footwear Industry Awards celebrate the successes of the past year, rewarding the brands, retailers and individuals that have captured the industry's attention. The awards were announced at MODA, the UK’s largest footwear and fashion show.

Philip Marsh, Managing Director of Chatham, said: “The award is a real coup for us and we are absolutely delighted with this industry wide recognition. We were up against some great brands, which highlights the strong competition within the outdoor footwear arena. Quality, durability, style and performance all form an integral part of the Chatham product, and this award shows that others hold the same opinion – which is fantastic!”

The Footwear Industry Awards are sponsored by the Independent Footwear Retailers Association, the British Footwear Association, the Society of Shoe Fitters and Clarks.
