After the brilliant success of Footlight’s sell-out Northcott production of ‘West Side Story’, Footlights are extremely excited to bring you ‘Into the Woods’,

‘Into the Woods’ combines the well known fairy tales of Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood. These compelling stories are threaded together with the story of the Baker and his Wife, who are cursed by the Wicked Witch, and left unable to have children.

The Baker and his Wife endeavour to lift their little family curse by journeying into the woods, where they encounter familiar classic fairy tale characters.

As their stories collide, they realise that fairy tales are not so simple after all and that they must learn the responsibility that comes with getting what you want.
