‘A Victorian Christmas’ is a fun and festive celebration of the Yuletide our ancestors would have known. Following highly successful tours in 2011 and 2012, acclaimed historical entertainment company Blast From The Past invite you tojoin them in 2013 for an evening of music, song, stories and drama from the time of Dickens and Hardy.

The cast of musicians and actors invite you to join them for some of your favourite carols(with songsheets provided) as well introducing you to some more obscure but no less beautiful festive songs from the 19th century. They also perform a festive masked playbased upon a traditional English folk tale.

Finally, there’s a Christmas taleof the court of King Arthur – a figure revived in the Victorian era by authors and poets such as Scott and Tennyson. Featuring damsels in distress, deeds of chivalry, an epic quest and of course a happy ending the tale is told in two parts across the two halves of the show.

“A Victorian Christmas” is a show guaranteed to delight and enthrall audiences from young to old.
