Set in the immediate aftermath of WWII, The Silver Sword follows the Polish Balicki children’s search for their parents as Europe is divided up and displaced people return to their homelands.

Join Ruth, Edek and Bronia in this gripping tale of hope against all the odds. Along the way they meet 14 year old Jan – who, years before, had been given the family’s precious paper knife, affectionately known as the Silver Sword, by their father as proof he is alive. During their journey to Switzerland they cross paths with people from every nation as well as animals such as Jimpy the cockerel, Bistro the chimpanzee and Ludwig the dog.

The Silver Sword was named as one of the top 50 children’s books of all time in The Times, and this musical adaptation is the perfect family half term treat.
