The first Friday in April sees the return of a favorite of The George Hotel, South Molton when comedian Patrick Monahan returns to the venue with his brand new, family, stand-up show ‘Cake Charmer’.

This loveable Teessider who likes hugging and eating cake (but not simultaneously!) is renowned for his superb anecdotes, his unique charm and his unmistakeable brand of humour!

Patrick was most recently seen taking part in the hit family entertainment TV series ‘Splash!’ (ITV), whilst in 2013 he was busy hosting ‘Jongleurs Live!’ (Sky), on ‘Fake Reaction’ (ITV2) and ‘12 Again’ (CBBC/BBC2). His other 2013 TV appearances include ‘Comedy Annual’ (ITV1) ‘Daybreak’ (ITV1) ‘Loose Women’ (ITV1) and ‘The Wright Stuff’ (C5).

In 2012 Patrick had a fantastic run at the Edinburgh Festival with his show ‘Shooting From The Lip’ winning the 3 Weeks Editor’s Choice Award for Best Stand-Up and followed this with a UK tour. In 2011 he was the winner of the ITV1 series ‘Show Me The Funny’ which led to the release of his debut DVD ‘Patrick Monahan Live’ (2 Entertain). In 2011 he also took part in Let’s Dance for Sports Relief on BBC, won Best Newcomer at the Loaded LAFTA Awards and Forth Radio Best Stand-Up People’s Choice Award for his hit show ‘Hug Me I Feel Good’.

Patrick is a regular MC and headlining act at the top London and UK comedy clubs including the prestigious Jongleurs circuit and the Comedy Store. In addition to this he is in huge demand on the corporate circuit as an after dinner speaker as well as an awards host.
