Flushed: Three Women. One Bath. Can they fit in?
Theatre Rush's debut performance Flushed, is a mixture of fearless story telling, brave confession and defiant vulnerability. Using autobiographical material, Flushed tells the stories of four women facing up to their insecurities in a slick, energetic and accessible show that will make you laugh, think, and may well test your styling skills. Honest, irreverent and often absurd with "great performances and genuinely funny writing” (Belinda Dillon), this is a gem not be missed.
Theatre Rush are based in Exeter and formed in 2011. Our debut show “Gesig” premiered at the Bike Shed Theatre, and developed as “Flushed” for Ignite festival 2012, followed by shows produced by the Pop-Up Theatre Collective (P.U.T. Exeter) at the Hourglass Pub, and Wardrobe Theatre Bristol.
"Established through a passion for devised theatre, the company uses real stories – our own, and those we collect along the way – to create our shows. We aim to make audiences smile, and leave them thinking and talking about their own memories and experiences. We strive for onstage honesty and playfulness, as a way to express our reactions to the world we live in. We believe in reaching out to audiences – through interaction and direct address, or simply by getting out of the theatre and taking our work to pubs, streets, farms, festivals and empty shops (among other spaces). We think life is funny, even when it hurts."
