FAILURE (& other opportunities for non linear success)

Mary Pearson

Left standing at the disco. Caught naked on the red carpet. Gathering dust after the big sale. Expired. Bagged. Tagged. And recalled.

Stuck somewhere amongst the glitter and glamour of Las Vegas, magic, and selling cars… a fashion victim, aspiring pop diva, and chronic underachiever is consumed by delusional fantasies of commercial success.

Watch with amusement, outrage, empathy, embarrassment and relief as her pedestal becomes a soapbox and her FAILURE turns into freedom.

A new solo performance bringing together visual absurdity with contemporary dance, comedy and social commentary.

Written, directed and performed by Mary Pearson. In collaboration with: Jules Beckman (Libertivore/Circo Zero), Mamoru Iriguchi (Evening Standard Award 2009), Hannah Silva (Opposition), and Jamie Wood (Fringe First 2008).

“Mary Pearson's warmth and incredible sense of comic timing was breathtaking at times” (Total Theatre)
