The Exmouth Players host The 39th  Exmouth Amateur One Act Play Festival as part of The All England Theatre Festival 2018 at The Blackmore Theatre, Exmouth, from 9th to 13th April 2018 at 7.30pm, and on Saturday 14th April at 7.00pm. 

This is an opportunity for those drama groups who enter this Festival to perform their One Act Plays in front of a professional adjudicator.  This year we welcome Sonia Woolley to our Theatre.

This year’s participating drama societies are: Mezzalchemy, Ottery Community Theatre, Mezzamorphoses, The Exmouth Players, SADS Youth and SADS Juniors (from  Sidmouth), TIPPS (from Tipton), Salterton Drama Club, Exton Drama Group and Broadclyst Theatre Group, all who have taken part in previous Festivals.  The plays range from Shakespeare to comedy and drama to entirely new plays in some cases written by the directors themselves. 
 
There are various cups and trophies awarded for best performance, best actor, youth performances, best original script and so on.  Only Season Ticket holders attending all the performances throughout the week are entitled to vote on who they think should receive the various awards.
