Winter Mountain

Hailing from the shores of Cornwall and Donegal, Winter Mountain blend melodic folk songs, heartfelt lyrics and two voices in a sound reminiscent of a time before digital recording, when the emphasis fell on the importance of live performance, the power of harmony and the essence of the song. The duo share song-writing duties, their individual styles, like their voices juxtaposing yet beautifully complimenting the other.

There have been the obvious comparisons to Simon & Garfunkel, the Fleet Foxes and the Everly Brothers and when you hear and see them perform you’ll understand why. Yet Winter Mountain bring something new to their vocal delivery, echoing those legendary harmony acts, but adding a vital, contemporary edge that is uniquely their own.

The duo have recently returned from a UK tour supporting Seth Lakeman, and their debut album features contributions from a plethora of seasoned musicians including Robbie McIntosh (guitarist with McCartney, The Pretenders, John Mayer), Audrey Riley (string arranger for Coldplay, Nick Cave) and Leo Abrahams (guitarist for Brian Eno, Florence and the Machine).
