Rachel Sermanni
Rachel launched her foray into the world of singer-songwriting when only 17, and has since played in excess of 500 shows across the UK, Europe, North America and a handful of shows in Asia.
2013 has been spent touring North America and Canada, including the Dawson City Music Festival as well as the Calgary, Ottawa and Interstellar Rodeo Festivals where Rachel shared main stages with the likes of Steve Earl, Sharon Van Etten, The Alabama Shakes and Vampire Weekend.
Her long-awaited debut album Under Mountains, released in late 2012, brought her bewitchingly beautiful, powerfully impassioned, magically eloquent music to a fresh crop of fans. Her new EP was recorded in New York with Alex Newport, who’s produced albums by Bloc Party, Frank Turner and many more.
A straight-up storyteller with a voice to blow all others clean out of the water, this young Scottish singer-songwriter packs an almighty punch with her earthy folk melodies and dextrous fingerpicking.
Highlights in Rachels career to date have included:
Self releasing her debut EP, Black Currents, which debuted at No 1 in the national Coalition Singles Charts
Sales in excess of 1000 on the week of release of her debut album, debuting at No 2 in the Independent Breakers Album chart.

Travelling to India to write, record and perform with Indian musicians Papon and legend Bikram Gosh.
