Exeter Punks Picnic is a three day music event taking place in August. Organised by Old Hat Promotions, this is the first year such an event has been held in Exeter.

The event will span three days, (18th-20th August) and two venues - the Barnfield Theatre and the newly reopened from fire damage Cavern Club.

Friday the 18th will feature four acts at the Barnfield Theatre, 7pm-11pm. These are A Waste of Damnation, Skinners, Bastard and Plymouth punk favourites The Bus Station Loonies. This event is £5 entry and advance bookings can be made through the box office on 01392 271808. Advance booking is recommended due to the limited capacity of the venue.

Saturday 19th will be held at the Cavern Club  from 3pm until 11pm. Bands playing on the Saturday are Bavarian Wrecking Crew (from Germany), Husband N Knives, Sickpig, Mark Ayling, 51st State, The Migraines, Rash Decision, Cydernide and The A Heads.

Sunday 20th will also be held at the Cavern Club from 4pm until 11pm. To open the day we will have stand up poetry from three poets, Si, Sniff and the Fatha.  Bands will be Po-lice, Space Tourettes, Bobby Funk, The Skraelings and headliners the classic punk band Anthrax (crass records etc…).

The weekend has two benefit causes which are ‘Save The Children’ and the environmental charity ‘Sea Shepard’. Once profit is made 50% will go to fund future Old Hat events and 25% will go to each charity.

The Cavern will be serving Vegan Food over the weekend and there will be a Raffle drawn on the Sunday afternoon.  Early bird tickets for the Cavern days are available at £13 covering both days either from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/401818 or from the Cavern.

The Barnfield gig is all ages but the Cavern days are 16+. Please bring ID to avoid disappointment.
