The Exeter Children’s Orchestra began as an educational project at the old St Luke’s Teacher Training College but soon grew into a highly successful orchestra with a regular membership of about 100 children and young people. The Orchestra plays a constantly changing and varied range of music from classical to jazz, film and TV theme tunes to opera!

Exeter Children’s Orchestra is supported by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and their Conductor, Kirill Karabits and his predecessor, Marin Alsop are both Patrons of ECO.

The purpose of the Exeter Children’s Orchestra is simply to offer children and young people aged 7-18 the chance to play a wide variety of music in a fun, friendly and safe environment. New members are always welcome and there are no scary auditions! Find out about the organisation and being a member by visiting our website: http://www.exeterchildrensorchestra.co.uk/

Playing in a group or orchestra is what music is all about. We’re always happy to welcome young musicians who would like to find out about playing in an orchestra. If you’re interested in playing with Exeter Children’s Orchestra, come along on any Saturday in term-time, to St. Leonard’s Primary School, Exeter. Exeter Children’s Orchestra Feeder Group is a new group available to children between the ages of 7 – 18 who have recently started to learn a standard orchestral instrument up to about Grade 2 standard. (Children will need to be able to read music).

Exeter Children’s Orchestra is a charity registered in England (no.801384). The orchestra is run by a committee of trustees and volunteers – all parents of orchestra members

Tickets £7 (£3)
