Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service is hosting a Christmas carol concert at Exeter Cathedral on Tuesday 18 December, at 7.30pm.

All members of the community are welcome to attend the free event for traditional carols accompanied by the Service’s Concert Band and Corps of Drums and the North Devon Pipes and Drums.

Chief Fire Officer Lee Howell said: “Christmas is not only a time of reflection but also one of celebration and goodwill and it is with this in mind that I would like to welcome you to our Christmas carol concert.

“This is the third event of this type for the Service and we would hope that it continues to be a regular feature of people’s build up to Christmas.”

Carols will include The First Noel, Once in Royal David’s City, While Shepherds Watched, Silent Night, and Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

The Dean of Exeter Cathedral, the Very Reverend Dr Jonathan Draper, will welcome the congregation and civic guests include the High Sheriffs of Devon and Somerset, Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset and the Deputy Lieutenant of Devon.
