British Sea Power are a six-piece band variously originating from Cumbria, Yorkshire, Ealing and Shropshire and are currently based in East Sussex and on the Isle Of Skye. The band are famed for their live performances, the unusual lyrical content of their songs and the adventurous choice of locations for some of their shows.

The fifth album from British Sea Power is to be called Machineries Of Joy and is scheduled for release on Rough Trade Records on Monday 1 April. The album will be accompanied by fully-amplified concerts live on tour, with this show confirmed as the first UK date.
