Fish are one of our great natural resources, and one we must care for and treat properly, rather than constrain with legislation and abuse through overfishing and carelessness. Half a Cod a Day, is a fun new agitprop theatre piece that demonstrates the need for change - it's a call to action individually and globally. Parrabbola make theatre that tells the stories of communities and which allows the people of that community to have a voice - to be heard.

This play has been made with the stories and histories of the fishermen of the Hastings Fishing Fleet - fishing is an important way of life and the fishing community sits at the heart of the town, but it is also relevant to all fishing communities and to anyone who loves to eat fish, or simply wants to live on a planet that has abundant seas!

The play will make you laugh and make you cry, but most importantly we hope it will make you think.

Contains a locally and sustainably sourced fish snack in the interval and we invite you to participate in our after show Q&A sessions, which will include some very special guest speakers!
