Exeter School is proud to host an exhibition of work by pupils of the WESC Foundation, the Specialist Centre for the Visually Impaired, for the third year running.

Sensational 2014, an exhibition of sensory artwork, will be held in Exeter School's new Art Department gallery from Monday 16 June until Friday 20 June.

John Mason, Head of Art, said: "This is always a special event as it is both humbling and inspiring to see the work of these children."

Irena Boobyer, WESC Foundation Art teacher, said the collaboration between the two schools is a welcome opportunity to celebrate and showcase the creative talents of our pupils and students.

"The artwork on display demonstrates how art provides an alternative means of communication, a vehicle to express ideas using a range of different sensory materials including clay, glass, fabrics and thread.

"Group art activities this year include the Dartmoor Ten Nocturnal Animals-inspired banner and mosaics created for the 2014 Commonwealth Games."
