James Acaster finds himself with something to look forward to.  Something he’s always wanted.  Something we all want.

Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Show Nominee 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 & 2012
Winner of the Best International Show at New Zealand Comedy Festival 2014
Chortle Winner – Best Breakthrough & Best Show 2015

Following a record fifth Edinburgh Best Show nomination at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, James Acaster is setting off on a UK tour this autumn with his newest offering, Reset, which sees James relay the improbable succession of events which led to him being entered into a witness protection programme.

Having quickly established himself as one of the leading lights of British comedy, James has notched up a plethora of award nominations, including Best Comedy Show at the 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and taking home the Best International Show Award at the 2014 New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

In addition to his glowing stand-up career, James has recently written a commissioned sitcom pilot for the BBC. We The Jury is a comedy about jury duty, following William, who always knew he was destined to be a juror but never imagined that when the day finally came he’d land the mother of all jury gigs – an actual murder trial. Of the show, James said, “This is a show for anyone who has done/wants to do/doesn’t want to do/could do/has never done or will never do jury duty.”

2016 has also seen James film a series for BBC Three, titled Sounds Random, in which James invited an array of stellar music guests to hit shuffle on their music library and discuss randomly selected tracks from their collections. James also released the second series of his online comedy-documentary Sweet Home Ketteringa, in which he visited Lahnstein in Germany, the official twin town of his home town of Kettering, so he could see the whole picture of Kettering and therefore, himself.

James has made a host of television appearances including Live at the Apollo(BBC One), Live from the BBC (BBC Three), Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Mock The Week (BBC One) and 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4). Radio appearances have included a regular guest spot on fellow comic Josh Widdicombe’s XFM show and writing and presenting his own show Findings for BBC Radio 4.
