Animal Aid’s popular Christmas Festival returns to Exeter Corn Exchange on November 18th, offering visitors a great day out and a chance to purchase original gifts and cards that make a difference. There will be almost 50 stalls, featuring ethical traders and organisations that promote human, animal and environmental causes. Products on sale will include fair trade clothes, chocolates galore, local arts and crafts, cruelty-free cosmetics, quality bric-a-brac and a wide range of delicious vegan cakes.

But it’s not just about great and original shopping ideas. There will also be a superb choice of plant-based savouries and sweets to enjoy, reflecting the current explosion of interest in vegan living. In addition to our unrivalled and great-value all-day restaurant, we have lots of cakes, pies, jams, chutneys and cookies to take away or – if you can resist – give as gifts or keep for your own Christmas treats. Other highlights include a tasting table with some of the latest vegan products to sample, a talk offering top tips for aspiring vegans, and lots of recipes and information to take home.

On the entertainment front, there will be music from the inspiring University World Music Choir and even comedy, with a one-hour show direct from the Edinburgh Festival by award-winning comedian Dave Chawner.

Entry to the festival is completely free.
