Home-Start Exeter and East Devon Volunteer Training Course

All parents know that those early years before children go off to school are vital in a child's life, and at Home-Start we believe parents have the key role in creating a secure childhood for their children. It's just that sometimes they need a bit of help...your help.

All kinds of families can find it hard to cope for all sorts of reasons, maybe because of illness or disability of a child, or because of post-natal illness, bereavement, depression or loneliness. At Home-Start we support any parent with young children who asks for our help, and our supported families, like our volunteers, come from all walks of life.

These families welcome a listening ear, or some practical or emotional support. If you’ve experienced the challenges of parenthood, you may be able to support families in Exeter or East Devon – a morning or afternoon each week given by a Home-Start Volunteer can really make a difference.

YOU can make a difference to a family in your community.
We can offer you FREE TRAINING on our fun, friendly and informal Volunteer Preparation Course starting on 23rd September 2015. (Wednesdays for 10 weeks within school hours - travel expenses paid.)
If you’re interested in becoming part of our valued team of Home-Start volunteers, please call Anna or Rachel on 01392 426440 or email office@homestartexeter.co.uk
