The University of Exeter Students’ Guild and local charity Hospiscare are calling for adventurous families to join them for their ‘Haunted Halloween Hobble’ on the evening of Halloween, this Thursday 31 October.

The University’s team of student volunteers will be dressing up to create a spooky walk around the Streatham Campus. The event offers a family friendly alternative to trick or treating and is set to be an enjoyable spooky occasion. There will be lots of activities to get involved with including apple bobbing and a fancy dress parade with prizes for the best outfit.

Organiser of the Haunted Halloween Hobble Joy Taylor says: “I am excited to bring together our dedicated student volunteers with local families in aid of a wonderful local charity such as Hospiscare. I hope this year’s event is the first of many and the Haunted Halloween Hobble becomes an annual event to look forward to.”

Hospiscare Corporate Fundraiser Jonathan Hough says: “The Halloween Hobble will be a fun-filled event which won’t be too scary for young children. It’s fantastic that the Student’s Guild is supporting Hospiscare which is a local charity that provides holistic care and support free of charge to those who are terminally ill in Exeter, mid and east Devon."

The Haunted Halloween Hobble on 31st October will run between 6pm and 7pm on the Streatham campus at the University of Exeter. The evening will begin with a spooky guided walk and will continue with apple bobbing, hot chocolate and Halloween arts and crafts.

Entry to the Haunted Halloween Hobble is free with donations for games and refreshments in aid of Hospiscare.
