Law firm Gilbert Stephens LLP is pleased to announce it will be sponsoring FORCE Cancer Charity’s 5km and 10km mountain bike ride event taking place at Powderham Castle on Sunday 8 September.

The fundraising event, only in its second year, departs from Powderham Castle’s grounds at 11am and organisers are hoping even more people will take part this year.

Sarah Daniels, Fundraising Manager for the local cancer charity, comments: “Last year we had over 100 cyclists take part in the 10km ride and this year we have introduced a 5km route so that younger cyclists can get involved. We had lots of families take part last year and we are hoping even more families will take part again this year as we’d love to smash last year’s fundraising total of £1000.

“Special thanks to Gilbert Stephens, our event sponsor, as staff members from the law firm will also be volunteering on the day - without the support of volunteers we simply wouldn’t be able to put on events so massive thanks to all giving up their time to help on the day.”

Entry is £10 per person for the 10km and £5 per person for the 5km ride. Online entry is available via FORCE’s website (www.forcecancercharity.co.uk), alternatively entry forms can be picked up from the charity’s fundraising office on Barrack Road, Exeter.
