Dunchideock Church Fete

The bi-annual Dunchideock Church Fete takes place on Saturday 1 June in the lovely grounds of Dunchideock House starting at 1.30pm.

As well as the many stalls offering plants, produce, bric a brac, books and more there will be a Children’s Fancy dress competition (all age groups up to 13), pony rides, a fun dog show, duck racing, skittles, Welly Wanging, rat splatting, a grand draw with excellent prizes, cream teas and ice creams.

There will also be a rare opportunity to visit the famous ‘Dunchideock Treacle Mine’ only open to visitors on Fete days.

The well known South West Telecoms Silver Band will be playing during the afternoon. There will also be a Barn Dance in the evening starting at 7.30. – tickets available from Mrs E.Jenne (telephone 832240).

All in all this is a unique occasion not to be missed.
