Big Screen in the Park returns to Exeter this summer with not five, but six nights of cinematic magic under the stars.

A different film will be showing on each of the six nights in Northernhay Gardens, from 9-11 August.

With Mexican street food, local ale and ciders and delicious coffees from the BikeCaffe, grab your friends and celebrate the biggest Exeter Big Screen in The Park ever.

Gates open at 7.30pm with films starting at 9pm daily.

Tickets are £5 in advance or £6 on the gate. It costs an additional £1 to bring your own chair chair.

Film line-up:

Mary Poppins (U)
Tuesday 9 August
A no-nonsense nanny who can fly and a loveable chimneysweep dancing with penguins? Disney’s most madcap adventure hits the big screen in all its technicolour glory.

The Jungle Book (PG)
Wednesday 10 August
Expect some big-screen magic as Rudyard Kipling’s classic jungle story is brought bang up to date with slick live action and A-list cast including Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Scarlett Johansson and Christopher Walker.

Romeo + Juliet (12A)
Thursday 11 August
It’s been 20 years since Leo and Claire graced the silver screen as literary history’s most tragic, romantic duo. Amongst gang-fire and boomboxes, Luhrmann’s famously audacious take on this star-crossed love story is a whirlwind of hardball action, rowdy humor and rapturous romance.

Jaws (12A)
Friday 12 August
Feeling brave? Spielberg’s classic original shark attack movie is back to chew up the big screen! A master class in sustained tension, watch as a 28-foot monster terrorises hapless holidaymakers.

The Martian (12)
Saturday 13 August
Help is only 140 million miles away in this disaster-strewn voyage into the cosmos. Get ready for a scintillating sci-fi trip to the red planet with an award-winning performance from Matt Damon.

Stand By Me (15)
Sunday 14 August
Rob Reiner pretty much wrote the book on coming-of-age films with this superior slice of nostalgia about four inseparable friends, who go out in search of a dead body.
