A talk by the Turner Prize nominated artist, best known for his humorous drawings that make witty, wry and sometimes dark observations on everyday life, giving an insight into his work practice.

Shrigley’s deliberately crude graphic style has an immediate and accessible appeal, while simultaneously offering insightful commentary on the absurdities of human relationships. His work, which extends beyond drawing to include photography, taxidermy, sculpture, animation, painting, and music, is characterised by a varied use of humour and an abiding impulse to ‘communicate as simply and directly as possible’.
