Don't miss this unique experience. See the Mill's rare 1910 Pollit & Wigzell 300hp steam engine, 1867 Kittoe & Brotherhood Beam Engine and Lancashire Boiler operating under steam. And, not forgetting the fully restored Water Wheel built especially for the mill in  1821.

A fantastic event and an amazing experience.

On Steam Up days, the Engines run between 11.00am and 3.30pm. The Mill-site, shop and refreshment trailor are open from 10.30am.

In the Mill, volunteers are available on these days to show you the spinning process of turning combed worsted tops into knitting yarn on Victorian period spinning & twisting frames. Weaving is also demonstrated on Hattersley shuttle looms.
