A pint, a pasty and a punt between the posts - what more could a man want after pounding around Exeter to raise money for Hospiscare?

Registration opens on Friday 11th January for this year’s Hospiscare Men’s Walk (Saturday 16th March at 1pm), which follows a circular route around the city, starting and finishing at Sandy Park. As last year, once they’ve finished walkers will be able to tuck into a pasty and a pint courtesy of Hospiscare while watching England v Wales in the Six nations on the big screens in the Exeter Suite at the home of the Exeter Chiefs.

Hospiscare is hoping to build on the success of last year’s walk, when over 600 men took part in the event, raising a significant amount of money for the charity, which provides end-of-life care for local patients and their families across the Exeter, east and mid Devon region.

“The men who took part last year did such an amazing job and we can’t wait to welcome them and new walkers to this exciting event,” said Celia Wilkinson, fundraiser for Hospiscare.

Old Mill, the accountants and financial planners who have recently opened an office in Exeter, are the main sponsors of this year’s event, which costs £15 to enter and registration is open to anyone aged 12 and over.
