Time to Shine - Exeter PA Network Event

The Exeter PA Network invites you to join us for an interactive, engaging evening of fun and learning with Business Coach and Personal Development Consultant, Judy Salmon in the elegant Victorian surrounds of The Rougemont, Thistle, in central Exeter.

The aim of the evening is to reaffirm how important you are to your organisation and the value you bring to it. The evening will also equip you with tools to effectively communicate and demonstrate this to your organisation, so that you are appropriately recognised and rewarded for everything you do.

Whilst it may be in our nature to work in the background, quietly keeping the wheels of the business turning, how can we expect our organisations to fully appreciate the value we add to the organisation if we don’t tell them exactly what we do? To be fair to our employers, we need to pull our lights from under those bushels, be proud of what we do and make sure others know that some of the really good stuff that goes on in the business is down to us. We know that many may feel uncomfortable having the spotlight on them and this session is about sharing tips and techniques to highlight your achievements but without being 'in ya face' about it! Speaking up about what we do will be good for us, in terms of being appropriately recognised and rewarded. It will also good for our organisations, as only when they fully appreciate the extent of our roles can they properly put in place resilience/business continuity plans.

Split over two sessions, the evening will start with group discussions aimed at re-engaging with the PA role – why did you become a PA in the first place? What opportunities does the role now offer?

The second session will focus on developing assertiveness and techniques for self-promotion in a way that feels right for you.
