The Renting Minefield - What's New for 2016

James Durston Cartridges Law’s Housing Law specialist will be talking at “The Renting Minefield – what’s new for 2016?” a free event which has been organised in conjunction with Exeter City Council for private landlords, letting agents and anyone interested in letting a property.

There will be the chance to talk with other landlords and agents through the evening and “bite size” talks as follows:


Right to rent - The Home Office
Taking Notice: Pitfalls with Section 21 - Cartridges Law
How letting agents can help - NLA and ARLA
New detector regulations: what they don’t tell you - Dick Scott, Monitor-BCS

There will be lots of expertise on hand to help advise and guide those who already rent or are thinking about letting properties and the different areas that need to be thought about and considered, questions are welcomed if anyone has a specific issue they are currently facing. As an added bonus there will also be a free smoke and carbon monoxide detector for landlords who attend (subject to availability).

The event will take place at Exeter Golf & Country Club, Countess Wear, Exeter, EX2 7AE on the 15th March 2016 from 7pm to 9pm. Free parking is available on site and refreshments after 6pm.
