The Exeter PA Network will be tackling new ground at their forthcoming seminar at Exeter University’s Innovation Centre later this  month.

In a concerted campaign the Network is preparing the region's PA community for future challenges ensuring they are acquainted with and prepared for a new type of senior executive and the changing work demands this will bring.

The latest career enhancing event focusses on the emergence of Gen Y and developments in technology.

Event organiser Kim Glover, PA to the Managing Partner at Michelmores LLP, said: “We have two fantastic speakers at this seminar which is aimed at preparing PAs for the impact Gen Y will have on their working environment and the role of the PA, which may need to adapt to support those people.

“Interest is very high in this very new topic and places are limited to only 70 places so it’s first come first served.”

Speakers include Gavin Jones, Director at Hays Recruiting, worldwide recruitment experts, who will give an insight on the emergence of Gen-Y (high achievers born between 1980 and 1995 who bring different perspectives and aspirations to the workplace than did the previous Boomer generation) and Kate Doodson, Business and Operations Manager, Cosmic Ethical IT, who will give an overview on how technology can be utilised to support different ways of working.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 26 February at the Innovation Centre from 5pm. The Network is open to all PAs, EAs, Secretaries and others in support roles.  Places for this event are limited and early booking is advised.   There is an opportunity to continue the discussion and networking after the event over dinner at The Imperial.
