Moko was established in Exeter in 1997 by Nick & Therese Ash. The shop itself can be found in Gandy Street, in the centre of Exeter's cultural heart. Nick and Therese have travelled extensively in South East Asia and they source many of the products sold in Moko personally within that region.
Over the years they have developed great working relationships with their suppliers who invariably produce the goods themselves. The objective is always to look for unique, high quality items that are produced in an ethical and sustainable manner by local, traditional artisans.
Moko has become a real favourite with local and visiting shoppers alike. A warm welcome awaits everyone and people spend many enjoyable moments browsing our enticing array of homewares, gifts and unique artefacts. The shop is about that hidden item that finishes a room, the gift you had never realised you would love, the object you did not know existed.
