Hot on the heels of celebrating a decade in the property lending sector in 2023, Exeter Finance have now reached a further milestone with a ten year collaboration with Shawbrook.

Exeter Finance is a specialist provider of loan facilities in the South West and was established by Peter Keech in 2013 to serve the local property market with a personal and efficient approach. Abby Turner, keen golfer from Okehampton, is teeing up for the UK final of the largest amateur golf tournament in the world: the Audi quattro Cup at the Bowood Hotel & Golf Resort in Calne, Wiltshire, on 7 September 2017. Representing Exeter Audi, Abby secured her place in the prestigious UK final with playing partner, Jon Veale. Outstanding GCSE results for Exeter School

Exeter School pupils, parents and staff are delighted with this year's set of consistently high GCSE results.

81% of all grades were A* or A and 50.4% were A*. Seventy pupils scored 8 or more A*/A grades with 41 registering 10 or more A*/A grades.

The 7-18 independent school is also celebrating its 20th anniversary of full co-education this year.

EDDC signs agreement with developers for new watersports centre in Exmouth

An important milestone has been reached with the signing of a Development Agreement between East Devon District Council and sustainable property company, Grenadier Estates, which will see the creation of a locally focused watersports centre on Exmouth seafront.

Forming an integral part of the council’s plans to regenerate the seafront area, the new centre will be built on a former car park on Queen’s Drive. This will further confirm Exmouth’s place as a leading UK watersports destination.

The Old Rectory Care home based in Exeter, announces it has been rated ‘overall outstanding’ by Care Quality Commission (CQC), in four domains: effective, responsive, caring and well-led, and is one of only three nursing homes in the area to be awarded this high-rating.

Three men from Birmingham have been sentenced to a total of 61 years in prison for kidnap, rape of a woman, false imprisonment and the stabbing of a man in Exeter.

Abdirahman Abukar, aged 19, of Alum Rock Road, Birmingham, was sentenced to 23 years, Abdirahman Kadir, 21, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 23 years and Ibrahim Mohammed, 18, was sentenced to 15 years in prison at Exeter Crown Court today [Tuesday 22 August].
